Course Overview
Want to lead paddlers in moderate open water up to force 4 winds and 500 m from shore or take them on slow moving rivers including grade one and short sections of simple grade 2?
Then this is the course for you!
To get the most from the course you will be comfortable and independent paddling your craft of choice in the above environments.
The training covers four key areas:
Personal paddling skills
Rescue skills
Safety, leadership and group skills
Theory
There is a lot of flexibility in the leadership pathway and if you feel you need a longer training course get in touch, equally, if you feel ready for assessment, you can go direct!
As well as the formal training course you could consider other formal training options such as:

Personal Performance Awards
Location: North Wales/Shropshire
As a Leader, you can work independently or be deployed by a club, centre or organisation to lead trips and journeys. The purpose of these trips may be wide ranging from educational experiences, social adventures or trying something new.
