Learn to look after yourself and others on the water, as well as what to do if it goes wrong. This is a pre-requisite for sheltered water coach and leadership awards.

Course Overview

The Paddlesport Safety and Rescue course is a 6-hour programme that consists of 6 modules that will support you to explore and practice simple strategies and safe skills that provide you with the tools to solve common paddling issues in a sheltered water environment, providing peace of mind when venturing out onto the water.

This is an attendance course with no assessment, you will perform rescues from your chosen craft. Explore Paddle Award level of ability or equivalent is required to enable you to manoeuvre your craft to perform the rescues. If you are unsure about this, I am more than happy to discuss this further with you.
